Members of the National Exercise Referral Scheme (NERS) in Tregaron have raised a total of £1,763 for a good cause.

Members of the National Exercise Referral Scheme hand over a chequeIn July, a coffee morning was held at Tregaron Leisure Centre where £405 was raised with great support from the community. Then in October, a sponsored memory walk from Rhayader to Elan Valley was organised by Susan Davies and attended by friends, family and members of the NERS with a considerable sum of £1,358 raised. The total of £1,763 was presented to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Paul Jones, Exercise Referral Coordinator said “A massive thank you to everyone who walked, donated and helped to organise these valuable events. It is great to join cooking, exercise and improving health and well-being with raising money for charities that are close to our members’ hearts.”
