Residents in Ceredigion should expect to see a Household Notification Letter arrive at their registered address within the next few days.

Household members are asked to check whether the people that are currently registered to vote at their address is correct and whether there are any changes in the household. If the information is correct, you do not need to do anything.

If any of the information is incorrect, please let us know. If some or all of the people listed in the letter no longer live at this address, please contact us so that we can update the electoral register.

If someone is not included in the letter and is eligible to vote, this is their opportunity to register to vote. Remember, this is the first time 16 and 17 year olds and foreign citizens can vote in the Local elections on Thursday, 5 May 2022.

Residents can register to vote by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or by calling Ceredigion’s Electoral Services. Being registered to vote gives you the right to participate at elections and could improve your credit rating.

Eifion Evans, Returning Officer for Ceredigion said: “In readiness for the County Council and Town and Community Councils Elections on 5 May this year, we are asking the residents of Ceredigion to check the letter so that the Electoral Service have the most up to date information on the electoral register. Taking a few minutes to ensure that the information is correct will ensure that you are registered to vote on 5 May.”

Residents who have any questions can contact Ceredigion’s Electoral Services on 01545 572032 or electoralservices@ceredigion.gov.uk
