Food Centre Wales is holding a one-day first aid training course on 25 June. Open to businesses and the public, the course gives an introduction to an important range of first aid topics.

Learners will develop skills that can be vital in helping people who are unresponsive and breathing or not breathing. This includes learning to use an automated external defibrillator. The course will also cover how to help people who are having a seizure, choking, bleeding heavily, suffering from shock or who have been burnt.

Russell Hughes Pickering is Ceredigion County Council’s Corporate Lead Officer responsible for Economy and Regeneration. He said, “By its very nature, Emergency First Aid can save lives and help colleagues or customers who need first aid assistance. I’m delighted that Food Centre Wales is hosting the training and I’m sure it will be very valuable to anyone who attends.”

Attendees who successfully complete the course will receive a formal level 3 qualification and certificate. The cost of £80 includes refreshments through the day and a light buffet lunch.
