Ceredigion County Council Cabinet Members, the Deputy Leader, and members of the Council’s committees have been elected today during a meeting of the Full Council.

During a meeting held Friday, 20 May 2022, it was confirmed that the following would act as Cabinet Members:

• Councillor Bryan Davies, Leader of the Council with responsibility for Democratic Services, Policy, Performance and Partnerships
• Councillor Alun Williams, Deputy Leader with responsibility for Through Age and Wellbeing
• Councillor Catrin M.S. Davies, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Customer Services
• Councillor Clive Davies, Cabinet Member for the Economy and Regeneration
• Councillor Gareth Davies, Cabinet Member for Finance and Procurement Services
• Councillor Keith Henson, Cabinet Member for Highways and Environmental Services and Carbon Management
• Councillor Wyn Thomas, Cabinet Member for Schools, Lifelong Learning and Skills
• Councillor Matthew Vaux, Cabinet Member for Housing, Legal and Governance, People and Organisation and Public Protection

The Leader of Ceredigion County Council, Councillor Bryan Davies, said: “I’m looking forward to work with a great team of Councillors and the appointed Cabinet Members to put Ceredigion’s interests first. The Cabinet Members themselves are eager and ready to get to work.”

Cabinet is the part of the Council which is responsible for taking most of the day to day executive decisions.

Councillors were also appointed to represent the Council’s committees during the meeting today.
