An alternative route is now available to walkers on a part of the Ceredigion Coastal Path after a landslide.

Ceredigion County Council Officers have inspected the landslide that occurred on a short section of Coast Path in Tresaith over the weekend. The path remains closed to the public; however an alternative route is available along the minor road from Tresaith to Aberporth.

Officers are working with the adjacent landowner to identify and establish a long term solution. This will be to ensure that this ever popular section of the path will be restored as soon as possible.

Councillor Rhodri Evans is the Cabinet member with responsibility for Economy and Regeneration. He expressed his gratitude to the walkers who reported the issue in the first instance and to officers for acting quickly to ensure that the safety of the public was maintained.

Further information on the location of the closure and alternative route can be found at https://www.walescoastpath.gov.uk/latest-news/temporary-path-diversions/?lang=en or by contacting 01545 570881 to discuss with a member of Ceredigion County Council’s Coast and Countryside Team.
