Households in the Tregaron area are receiving a questionnaire around the Cylch Caron scheme.

The questionnaire will assist in finding out the housing demand for older persons, sheltered accommodation and extra care housing in the area. It will also identify the housing preference of households living within the area including their understanding of extra care housing. The Tregaron area runs from Cwmystwyth, down to Lampeter and over to Aberaeron.

The Cylch Caron Extra Care and Integrated Resource Centre is an exciting and unique project which aims to offer many opportunities and benefits for people in the area.

The project will create an extra care housing development together with an innovative rural model of community based care, to meet local care, health and housing needs. The new development is intended to replace both the existing Tregaron Community Hospital and Bryntirion Residential Home.

Extra Care housing provides modern accommodation with care support and related services available on site. The self-contained apartments will be available for rent to qualifying applicants aged 55 or over or aged over 18 with qualifying care needs.

The scheme is being developed in partnership between Ceredigion County Council, Hywel Dda University Health Board, Mid-Wales Housing and the Welsh Government.

The map of the Cylch Caron area can be seen on the Ceredigion Housing Options website.

The questionnaire can be filled in here. It takes around 15 minutes to complete and is open until 03 August.
