Ceredigion County Council are working with third sector partners to support individuals and families who need to self-isolate due to COVID-19.
Ceredigion County Council and partner organisations are becoming increasingly concerned about the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the Cardigan area.
Over the last week, there has been a significant number of cases and there is evidence through the work of the Contact Tracing Team that there is widespread community transmission. It is thought that a number of ‘super spreader’ events have led to this situation.
Following a meeting of the Cardigan Incident Management Team held on Sunday, 22 November 2020, a decision has been made that 7 schools and 2 nurseries will be closed from Monday, 23 November 2020 and will re-open on Monday, 7 December 2020.
During this next fortnight, residents who have been told to self-isolate for 14 days, but do not have family, friends or a local support network, can call Ceredigion County Council on 01545 570881 or clic@ceredigion.gov.uk who will triage your query to our team of Community Connectors, or to the most appropriate team, who will work with you to establish your needs.

If you have been contacted by NHS Wales Test, Trace, protect service (TTP) and been told to self-isolate, you may be entitled to Financial Support under the Self-Isolation Support Payment Scheme A £500 fixed payment will be available to people on a low income who are unable to work from home and as a consequence will suffer a loss of income.
