Businesses in Cardigan have now had their Premises Directions revoked which means they can reopen.

When a premises direction is issued, the authority must review the applicable public health conditions within 7 days from when the direction was issued and decide whether to revoke or continue with the direction.
On this occasion, having reviewed the current public health conditions as they relate to the Cardigan area, this Authority is satisfied that the Premises Directions are no longer necessary and it has been decided to revoke the directions.
Ceredigion County Council Public Protection Officers have also inspected these businesses. They have provided additional advice and guidance on ways to minimise the risk or exposure to coronavirus - which every business is required to follow - for both staff and customer safety.
We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the businesses concerned for their full co-operation and for their own quick action and decision to close their premises voluntarily even before the Council issued the Premises Directions.
