Ceredigion County Council will not be relaxing or changing its position in relation to services and facilities it provides at this time. The only exception is the scheduled reopening of the Household Waste Sites.

The next review will be following the next three weekly announcement from the Welsh Government regarding the COVID-19 situation which is expected on 19 June 2020.

The Council’s Harbour Offices at Aberystwyth, Aberaeron and New Quay have been closed as of Monday 23 March 2020, and there are no imminent plans to reopen these.

The Council does not support or condone any land or water based leisure activities either within its harbours or at its beaches at this time. This takes into account:

• restrictions and guidance which remain in place
• efforts to reduce risks associated with potentially significant numbers of people seeking to access and use the facilities
• the potential unnecessary additional pressure such activities could place on the emergency services.

From a very early stage, as the COVID-19 situation has developed, Ceredigion County Council has taken positive and proactive steps to minimise the potential spread of the virus in Ceredigion.

We would like to thank local residents for their ongoing support and understanding at this time as we seek to uphold and maintain this successful approach and the position in terms of the infection rate locally.
