On 17 July, sections of the Ceredigion Coast Path that had been temporarily closed have now reopened.

Sections of the path were closed at the start of April in the interest of public health due to the Coronavirus pandemic. As 'lockdown' restrictions are gradually easing, members of the public can now make use of the paths with caution; keeping current Coronavirus guidelines in mind.

To enjoy the paths safely, remember the following:

  • There are variable path widths, less than 2 metres in places, so when passing or giving way to others, tread carefully and keep to the path where possible
  • Sanitise hands regularly, especially around gates and stiles
  • Plan ahead to make the most of your journey. Visit Discover Ceredigion’s website for further information on local tide tables, local walks, information contacts and free apps and downloads, www.discoverceredigion.wales/plan-your-visit
  • Keep to the Countryside Code of Conduct, www.ceredigion.gov.uk/resident/coast-countryside/countryside-code

Due to a landslide at Wallog, a temporary path diversion has been put in place between Wallog and Borth. For the latest information on any temporary path diversions visit: www.walescoastpath.gov.uk/latest-news/temporary-path-diversions/?lang=en
