All residential dwellings are assessed using the HHSRS system. This is the same for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO). However, in certain circumstances part of certain HMOs will be subject to separate assessments, particularly where there are flats or traditional bedsit type accommodation.

The documents available under the downloads section have been produced to assist owners of HMO's to maintain their property in suitable order. An inspection undertaken by a Local Authority officer will look at the areas covered by these documents (but not exclusively).
