Communities First
Communities First is the Welsh Assembly Government's flagship programme to improve the living conditions and prospects of people in the most disadvantaged communities across Wales.

The Tregaron and Uplands Communities First area is one of the ten designated Communities of Interest. More specifically, it is one of only four 'Imaginative Proposals' due to its rural nature.

The Communities First initiative relies on the input and support of local people. The main responsibility of running the Communities First programme is undertaken by the Communities First Partnership, a group of local people.

The Communities First Trust Fundis a scheme funded by the Welsh Assembly Government aimed at small community led organisations in Communities First areas in Wales.
