Note the two girls on the left with their buckets, but fully clothed, and the girl in the centre with her hat, long curls (what would happen to these if she went swimming?) and her doll. Her mother or perhaps aunt is knitting. Behind them is the lifeboat slipway. Constitution Hill is the distance, where a railway and places of entertainment were built five years earlier.
