How you can help

We are very keen to add more information to this site and correct any errors there may be.

If you have information about farming activities that you would like included, please send it to us in either English or Welsh. The information on this site is very basic so far and we would be very pleased to add more detail, including the unusual and exceptional.

Your contributions need not be particularly old: we are keen to include information about activities that have recently gone out of use.

We would also be very pleased to add more photographs from Ceredigion to this site. We could borrow photographs for copying or accept digital versions. Please let us have as much detail about the subjects of the photographs as possible (peoples names, farm names, details of equipment, date etc).We would like more photographs of machinery in use. If you have old farm machinery and other equipment on your farm, please let us have photographs of it (whatever state it is in).

We would like to record the names used for the equipment used on farms. Please e-mail us with as much information as you can supply, and let us know whereabouts the words were used.

If you are able, please print off some of the pages from the web site and take them to the older members of your community and record what they remember. We are most interested in personal memories of particular events and activities rather than general impressions of the past.

We already have a large collection of small farm equipment, and the National Trust at Llanerchaeron near Aberaeron has Geller Jones' collection of larger farm objects that he kept in Cardigan. However, we don't have examples of everything and the web pages for these items state that there is no example in the museum's collection. If you have examples of these items that were used in Ceredigion, please let us know. We may not be able to accept them for various reasons, but would be happy to have good photographs of them.
