Information on the Primary and Secondary Schools in Ceredigion

Ceredigion County Council maintains 63 primary schools. About 60% of the Authority's primary schools have 50 pupils or fewer on roll. In most of these schools, Welsh is the main medium of the life and work of the school. At secondary level the Authority promotes 7 comprehensive schools, varying in size from 330 pupils to 1400 pupils. Two of these are designated as bilingual schools where a large number of subjects are taught through the medium of Welsh.
