Ceredigion draft delivery agreement, February 2007

Before substantial work starts on an LDP – the Local Planning Authority (the Authority) is required to prepare and agree with the Welsh Assembly Government (the Assembly) a Delivery Agreement (DA) in accordance with Section 63 of the 2004 Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act. In line with national regulations and guidance, the DA must consist of a:

  • community involvement scheme (CIS); and
  • timetable for plan preparation and adoption.

The DA therefore sets out the procedures for preparing the LDP, including a timetable containing all the key stages along with a detailed account of how the Authority intend to involve the public and other stakeholders in the process. The DA is basically a project management tool.

Ceredigion's draft Delivery Agreement is available for inspection from the 26th February 2007 at:

  • The download provided below;
  • The Planning Department, Neuadd Cyngor Ceredigion, Penmorfa, Aberaeron SA46 0PA during office hours; and
  • At the County's local libraries during usual opening times.

The Authority would welcome comment or observations from you regarding this draft Delivery Agreement before it submits the document to the Assembly – a list of specific questions that you may consider addressing is also provided below.

Any such comments should be sent in writing to Llinos Quelch, DESH, Neuadd Cyngor Ceredigion, Penmorfa Aberaeron, SA46 0PA or by e-mail to ldp@ceredigion.gov.uk by no later than Midday on the 5th April 2007.

Following this consultation the Council will review the draft Delivery Agreement, taking into account consultation responses, and formally approve it for submission to the Assembly. Following agreement with the Assembly, the Delivery Agreement will be published on the Council's website and made available for inspection at the Council's main office at Penmorfa, Aberaeron and at local libraries.
