Richard introduced us to his life and work as a creative writer and publisher at Cardigan's Parthian Books. With readings from his books including his first novel, the World Book Day award-winning winning Work, Sex and Rugby, he spoke about his origins and a writer and his inspiration to found his publishing company.

He spoke the importance of the flagship Library of Wales series and Parthian's role in bringing new and classic Welsh writing in English to a greater audience.

The evening was the third stop in Ceredigion Library's Reading Roadshow which continues until 16th November.

Wednesday 16th November will bring the National Library of Wales' former keeper of Pictures and Maps D. Huw Owen, to the Morlan to talk about the recent release of his book The Chapels of Wales
