Aberystwyth Sustainable Travel Centre Works

Introduction

An invitation was made by the Welsh Assembly Government in November 2009 for towns within Wales to bid for funding to be used specifically for sustainable travel projects. Ceredigion County Council submitted a bid and was informed in April 2010 that the bid had been successful.

The Sustainable Travel Centre grant has provided capital funding of up to £1m for Aberystwyth in 2010-11. It is anticipated that further funding will be made available by the Welsh Assembly Government for spending in 2011-12.
