Corporate Strategy 2009-2012

Welcome to the County Council's new Corporate Strategy for the three year period up to 2012.

Corporate Strategy

The strategy sets out our vision and identifies four key priority areas of work and reaffirms our commitment to core values which underpin our work and services.

The core purpose of the Council's Corporate Strategy is to illustrate how the authority will support and promote the wellbeing of the citizens of Ceredigion as a place where people can:

  • Live in a high quality and safe environment
  • Have opportunities to work and prosper
  • Lead fulfilled and healthy lives
  • Learn and develop to reach their full potential

The strategy describes our role in community leadership and our linkages with the Community Strategy and the Local Service Board partners working collectively for the well being of the County and the citizens of Ceredigion. It covers a 3 year time horizon looking at our strategic priorities. More detailed actions, activities and performance targets will be included in our annual Improvement Plan and in our service Business Plans.

The 42 County Councillors are the democratic voice representing the towns and rural areas of Ceredigion, and we use this voice to champion the interests of the County at the regional, national and European level to ensure the concerns and the needs of our citizens are heard at all levels of decision making and throughout
