The 'Cardi Bach'
The Cardi Bach is back! The popular coastal bus service will be operating from 26 June to 26 September 2010 (every day of the week except Wednesday).
The Cardi Bach operates between Cardigan and New Quay, linking coastal villages along its route. It offers a stress-free way to enjoy the spectacular scenery of Cardigan Bay and opens up opportunities to enjoy the recently created Ceredigion Coast Path. The bus also has a bike rack that can carry two bicycles.
Since the introduction of the Cardi Bach in 2004, passenger numbers have increased year on year, with some 4000 people using the service in 2009.
The Cardi Bach is supported by the Countryside Council for Wales, Tourism Partnership Mid Wales, and town and community councils along the route (Cardigan, Ferwig, Aberporth, Penbryn, Llangrannog, Llandysiliogogo, Llanllwchaearn and New Quay).
The service is operated by Richards Brothers of Cardigan.
There are a number of other bus services that can be used to get to the start of your walk. There are frequent services operating between Aberystwyth, Aberaeron and New Quay. You can also catch the train between Aberystwyth and Borth and walk back along the cliffs.
