Swan Inn

4 Chancery Lane

'The decline in drinking continued and soon after the end of the 19th century the Cardigan magistrates began to refuse licences to some public houses as part of a policy of reducing their number. One of the first to go was the old Swan Inn which lost its licence in 1905 and received compensation of £120, £110 to the owner and £10 to the licencee.' (W. J. Lewis, 'Gateway to Wales')
