Members of the public and other institutions may request information on various topics relating to the work of the museum. The nature, speed and quality of the service depends on the question, the knowledge of the members of staff and the relevance of the question to the work of the museum. Enquiries may be made by phone, fax, e-mail or in person, but please make an appointment if you wish to talk to a member of staff.
Curatorial staff don't normally work on Saturdays.

Members of the public may bring items to the museum for identification. If you wish to speak to a member of staff, please make an appointment in advance, otherwise, you may leave the item in the museum and a receipt will be issued: a member of staff will normally contact you within a few days.

Items cannot be valued by members of Ceredigion Museum staff. If you wish to have an item valued, we suggest you take it to an antique shop or an auctioneer.

The Museum is able to supply facilities for students and those carrying out research to enable them to study a particular aspect of the collections.
