The main collection
Ceredigion Museum has a collection of about 60,000 items from the county of Ceredigion. The majority of specimens are objects that were made or used in the county between about 1850 and 1950.
The majority of specimens are donations. About 2% of the collection is on loan; about 22% of the collection has been purchased.
Historical documents are gradually being transferred to the County Archive Office.
Ceredigion County Council is most grateful to all those who have given items to the collection.
About 80 objects from Ceredigion Museum collection are on the Gathering the Jewels web site.
