The Small Business Capital grant, which is funded by Welsh Government and delivered by Ceredigion County Council, has been launched to support newly formed businesses and existing small businesses with their growth and/or recovery plans during the Covid 19 pandemic by providing financial contributions towards capital expenditure.

Grants are only available towards the costs of tangible capital assets. The scheme will provide grant support of between £1,000 and £10,000. Each grant award will be based on 50% of eligible costs OR a maximum of £5000 per job created / £1000 per job safeguarded, whichever is the lesser.

The grant is only available for businesses with a registered address in Ceredigion and the capital investment must be used to support their business operation within the county.

The fund will directly result in jobs being safeguarded and created thus having a positive impact on the local economy.

The following sectors are ineligible for support: primary agriculture production, forestry, aquaculture, fishing and statutory services, e.g. primary health, and education.

The grant will be open to applications on February 5th 2021 and close on February 19th 2021.  A further round may be opened if funds are not fully committed. All grant expenditure must take place and be claimed by 15th March 2021.

This grant application has now closed.
